Bridge Design
Where do I start?
A phone call or email to Echo Bridge South is the first step in the bridge construction process. We can provide you with any information you may require.
How long does it take?
Although it varies, about 10-12 weeks is a reasonable assumption.
How much does a bridge cost?
At Echo Bridge South, we consider many variables prior to defining an exact price for your project. We consider things such as the type of bridge for the project, design live loads, the nature of bridge guide rails, clear span, bridge width and other potential factors. All of these elements combined, helped our sales staff calculate an estimated budget for your bridge building endeavor.
What are the design standards?
We design according to A.A.S.H.T.O. and other organizations, sited throughout it's design manual, such as:
AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials)
AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction)
AWS (American Welding Society)
ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)
ACI (American Concrete Institute)
AITC (American Institute of Timber Construction)
ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers)
ANSI (American National Standards Institute)
AWPA (American Wood Preserves Association)
NDS (National Design Specifications)
How do I know this is a first class project?
Echo Bridge South uses a combination of construction materials to supply the most cost-effective product. Many times, it comes to a personal preference as to which material to choose. Our engineering staff supplies you with the knowledge you'll need to make the most informed choice. Our structural members are lab-tested prior to assembly, and the results are forwarded to you, the customer. A registered Professional Engineer endorses our designs and calculations, and we follow the requirements of A.A.S.H.T.O. (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials) Standard Specifications (latest edition).
What will my bridge look like?
Echo Bridge South has a standard line of bridges to choose from and can create custom bridges unique to your site. Once some project variables are discussed, you then determine whether your bridge structure will be economically driven or architecturally driven.
