Echo Bridge Rail has been in the design and fabrication of pedestrian rails for over 35 years.  With 35 years of experience in design, fabrication and welding, you can rest assured that you are getting a quality product delivered to your jobsite.

With our state of the are CNC plasma cutter, there are no projects to large or to small for us to design and fabricate.  Our pedestrian rails are fabricated from Core Ten weathering steel to match your rustic appeal on the project or can be fabricated from A500 steel and painted or powdered coated any color that the owner desires.  Our pedestrian rails are designed with 3/8" and 1/2" plate to meet your decorative and structure needs.

 Design Live Load Requirements:

Post and Base Plates are designed are designed for an equivalent point load equal to 200 lbs plus (50 lb/ft times panel spacing (ft)).

The Top and Bottom Rails are designed to carry a 50 lb/ft uniform load simultaneously vertically and transversely plus a 200 lb concentraed point load applied at mid span in the directions for both maximum stress and deflection.

Our Pickets and Decorative Panels are designed with a concentrated 200 lb load applied transversely over an area of 1 square foot.

Per AASHTO Guide Specs, the rail opening between pickets shall reject the passage of a 4" diameter sphere below 42 inches and an 6" sphere above 42 inches.  Clear opening under the bottom rail shall reject the passage of a 2" diameter sphere.

Pedestrian rail height per AASHTO is designated as 42 inches.

Bicycle rail height per AASHTO is designated as 54 inches.
